I have a carpet cleaning business and I have tried numerous other products. I feel Spot Shot is the best. I get all sorts of stains ranging from lipstick to pet dropping. The comment I hear the most is how wonderful the product smells. This is before the job is done. Then when the owner walks into the room he/she is amazed at the difference in the carpets appearance.The first time I tried the product I didn't follow the instructions. I let the product sit on the carpet way too long. The product turned the stains to an off-white color and I thought I was going to leave the house without getting paid. However, when I went over the stains with my extractor the off-white discoloration went away along with the stains. really works
My house has wall-to-wall white & beige carpeting. And I hate to clean. Every once in a while I get a little stain on my carpet that I can't get out which is really annoying. I tried a couple other products that didn't do the job. Today I picked up Spot Shot and it was amazing! I had a small black stain (I think oil) that was on my carpet for the past year and within a few seconds it was gone! I also had a couple other small stains that were a snap to get rid of as well. All I had to do was spray the stain with a couple shots of Spot Shot and then scrub/blot it with a damp/wet towel and it was out almost immediately! I recommend this to anyone that has wall-to-wall carpeting, especially light colors!

Pros: Works, and is instantCons: ?So, I didn't use this product for a "spot" but rather a disaster.I made a large glass jar of red wine sangria for my own housewarming party. I'll spare the details, but metal ladle + glass jar = big hole in the side of glass jar and all 2 gallons flooding onto my hardwood floors, spreading quickly to the living room where it drenched my new white/beige shag. (what a sad way to start a housewarming party! Luckily the party was still a hit). We mopped up with towels, poured a whole container of salt over the area (as a guest suggested) and left it for the next day.Next day, a lot of attempts to clean it up, and nothing worked. Clean air at last (by litter box)
Very good product. I'm not sure if the "for pets" version is really any different from the standard filters, but regardless they work very well. I have one next to my cats litter box and it it really helps reduce the odor level. I plan to replace them every month or two to keep my air as fresh as possible.

I found the "pet" version does work better than the one that came with the unit. It wasn't quite enough for the litter box area, but more because the location of the plug wasn't near enough to the litter box. We use them in the bathrooms now and they work great.

Best odor remover...EVER.
This is the best odor remover I've ever used. It not only gets rid of pet odors, but it will also get rid of just about any other thing that stinks. I even works on mothball smells. It has just a hint of smell at first (called a tracer scent) so that you can tell where you've spread it, but then when it dries, all smells are gone including the tracer. I have trouble with a lot of other odor removers that they give me a migraine. Febreeze will like to kill me. But I've never had a problem with this one. I will never buy anything else.

I was getting desperate! It works!
I was about to go buy a gallon of anti icky poo (for $40) and I just couldn't wait! I would have had to order it and we were about to have friends over and I just needed something. I was at bed bath and beyond and I saw this and was curious so I just tried it and I am very impressed! I have tried everything and this is the only thing that doesn't have a weird janitorial smell that lingers and it actually pushes stains out! It's pretty pricy and I wish it came in bigger sizes.

Cat pee odor eliminator!
So to be honest, I did not buy this product on Amazon, I got it at my local Bed Bath & Beyond, and it was a few dollars cheaper. However, the reviews of this product on Amazon are what prompted me to buy it.I have a cat that, for whatever reason, occasionally urinates on two of our couches. On my one couch, I cleaned soiled areas with both Bissell's "Little Green" (with the special pet cleaner), and Nature's Miracle "Just for Cats" with very limited results. So, when he peed on my other couch I removed the cushion cover, and sprayed this directly on the foam. It required two applications, but when it dried the odor was COMPLETELY gone. So, now I'm using it on my couch that the other products failed on. I think you have to be realistic that when dealing with something soaked in, or strong smelling, it will take more than one application. Better than the original filter.
I got the febreeze odor eliminator as a baby shower gift for the nursery. We have neighbors that smoke and the smell sometimes gets in to the baby's room so I got this filter when it was time to replace the one already in the odor eliminator and it works wonders. The smell from his diaper genie as well as the cigarette smell is no longer in his room. I would recommended this as the replacement filter even if you don't have smokers in your home.

Nonsmokers delight
I hosted my first family Christmas at my house this year. Everyone in my immediate family smokes with me being the exception, my Mother being the worst offender. She is seriously addicted (60 years at least) and could not visit if she wasn't allowed to smoke. She can barely make the two hour flight here, without going bonkers. I love her dearly and understand her and many other smokers' addiction. I purchased smokeless ash trays and the Febreze True Air filters for tobacco odors (and the plug mount) to help combat the problem. I only expected the Febreze filters for tobacco odors to at most mask the lingering smoke smell in the house. I found myself amazingly surprised that my house is odor free after having more than 5 smokers in my house for over a week!!! WOW!! Who'd a thunk it! other odors (cancer/urine)
I sadly write this review, hoping it will be of help to other families. My dad came home two days ago for home hospice with endstage cancer. At the hospice house, my mom had a real hard time coping with the strong odor in the room, the nurse said it was from the advanced cancer, he also has lots of bloodclots in his urine bag. I know this is an awful subject to read about, and difficult for me to type, but again - trying to help other families. I had used this filter in my house by the dogs crates and it works nicely.
